After 2nd Session

This horse has been “swayback” for several years. There was significant improvement even after the first session! The second session showed even more results in releasing the spinal stress and resetting the old muscle memory. Bowen Therapy can usually soften scar tissue and release compensating muscle patterns, even when the conditions have been there for many years.

Notice the difference in the shape of the left and right pelvic

This horse had a pelvic fracture and was extremely uncomfortable. She had gotten her right rear hoof caught in the halter. With a pelvic fracture, there were some limitations to the amount of muscle release that could be achieved right away. However, she was obviously more symmetrical after the first session!

1 Month After Consistent Sessions

This horse also had sustained a pelvic fracture involving the Lumbosacral Plexus nerves feeding the glutals. The atrophy was pretty severe. After a little over a month, she was well on the road to recovery!

This horse had a subluxation in the right shoulder and a condition known as Sweeney, which causes atrophy of the supraspinous and infraspinous muscles in the shoulder. Realigning the shoulder and resetting the muscle memory was a catalyst to regenerating the muscles in the shoulder.

This horse had been slightly ”off”, so the owner had his hocks injected. Afterwards, he became extremely lame and was unable to bend his hind legs. He had been like this for several years. The first day I met him, he had struggled for almost 45 minutes to get up. His pelvic had an almost 3 inch difference, and he was not able to stand without constantly shifting in the hind end.

Progression through Consistency

This horse had previously been a barrel horse and had been run in a “brain chain”, causing severe trauma to the poll, lower cervical and upper thoracic region. She was not able to carry herself correctly nor a rider comfortably. The picture of her saddle fit shows a constant progression in her body’s ability to overcome her previous trauma and begin to use the muscles correctly again. With consistent Bowen Therapy and diligence from her owner, she began to excel and blossom!
